Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul boxing match announced! It will be broadcast live on Netflix

Jake Paul continues his martial arts journey as he signs up to fight one of the most feared men in boxing, "Iron" Mike Tyson. On Thursday, March 7, 2024, it was confirmed that Paul and Tyson will face off in the ring on July 20, live on Netflix!

Jake Paul, a YouTuber turned boxer, continues to make more and more of a name for himself in the sport thanks to his explosive power and agility. Tyson, who is 30 years older than Paul, will be looking to notch another defeat on the budding star's boxing record, which currently stands at 9-1, with his only defeat being a loss to Tommy Fury last February.

Paul has tested his skills against several UFC stars, including former welterweight champion Tyron Woodley, Nate Diaz and Anderson Silva, all of whom he defeated. He enters this fight with a big lead thanks to recent knockout wins over Andre August and Ryan Bourland, but of course Mike Tyson's experience speaks volumes.

It may be safe to say now that it's a show so we'll see all the rounds and it'll be all about entertainment, Mike is 60 and age can also do its thing so there's plenty of speculation floating around the internet. One side of the fanbase is writing that Mike doesn't need this and should stay retired. The other fan base is eager for a sporting experience and wish someone would finally get Paul's feet back on the ground.

Multiple sources have confirmed that this highly anticipated boxing match will take place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Given Tyson's status as the greatest boxer of all time, his extensive resume and his current athleticism, he has a great chance of beating Paul in the ring. Known for his power and speed, Tyson last boxed against legend Roy Jones Jr. in 2020, when he celebrated success in an exhibition bout. As for his last professional appearance, Tyson lost to Kevin McBride in 2005.

According to Tyson, the contract has been signed and he described the upcoming boxing match as the "moment of coming full circle" of his and Paul's careers.

"He has grown significantly as a boxer over the years so it will be very entertaining to see what the will and ambition of a 'kid' with experience and ability can do. It' s a coming full circle moment that will be more than exciting to watch as I started him on his boxing journey on the eve of my fight with Roy Jones and now I intend to complete it," states Mike Tyson.
