Climber Adam Ondra tried MMA with UFC champion Jiri Prochazka

We believe that Czech athletes Adam Ondra and Jiří Procházka do not need to be introduced at length. Both of them are absolute leaders in their field.

Adam Ondra is the world's top climber, both in sport climbing on an artificial wall and in rock climbing. He is a multiple champion not only in the Czech Republic, but also in the world, and a multiple absolute winner of the World Cup, both in climbing on difficulty and in bouldering. He is also a participant in the 2021 Olympic Games, where he finished sixth.

Jiri Procházka is an MMA fighter who started his career with Thai boxing, in which he became the Czech champion. After that he switched to the aforementioned MMA, in which he is a two-time champion of the Japanese federation RIZIN, and also the champion of the most famous MMA federation UFC.

And it was these two champions who recently came together to give one a taste of the other's sport.

Adam Ondra himself says of the event:

"Jiri Prochazka is a famous MMA world champion and coincidentally lives in the same city as me. This cooperation was simply impossible to resist. Was I afraid to go to his gym with him? Yes, you were! To be honest, before I met Jiri I knew very little about MMA and watching fights or fighting in general never really appealed to me. In the end, it was really fascinating to learn more about him, see how he trains and how (impossible) it is to fight him (or just train lightly)! When I was really tired, we went to one of my favorite crags and he in turn tried some great routes on the legendary Czech sandstone!"
