Levrone is clear: "More pro cards won't threaten bodybuilding, the best will always come through."

Bodybuilding legend and two-time Arnold Classic winner, Kevin Levrone, recently shared his perspective on the current state of professional bodybuilding. In an interview with Ron Harris, he focused primarily on the growing number of pro cards being awarded and offered valuable advice for the next generation of athletes.

More pro cards? No problem for Levrone

In recent years, several new divisions have emerged in bodybuilding, such as Men's Physique and Wellness, which has led to a significant increase in the number of pro cards. Many fans and experts have expressed concern that this trend may "dilute" the level and prestige of the professional scene. Levrone, however, does not share this opinion.

According to him, the increase in the number of pros is a logical consequence of the sport's growing popularity and he sees it as a positive development for the business side of bodybuilding. "Give me a thousand pro cards, I don't care. Only one can win the Olympia," Levrone said. He believes that the most talented and hardworking will always make it, regardless of the number of competitors.

Advice for future champions: bodybuilding as a business

For aspiring bodybuilders who dream of a professional career, Levrone has clear advice: approach the sport like a business. He stresses that the key is to respect everyone in the industry, never complain about positioning, and promote yourself effectively.

"Make the most of your form," Levrone advises. "When you're at your best, take pictures, arrange guest appearances. All of this will help you make money and build your name."

Levrone also defined what being a "professional" means to him. It's not just about owning a pro card, but about achieving mastery in his craft. According to him, a professional has a perfectly developed physique with no weaknesses, knows his body perfectly and knows how to present it.
