Kevin Levrone celebrates 61 years in incredible form that shocked the bodybuilding world
Age is just a number to many, but to Kevin Levrone it's clearly just another opportunity to defy the laws of nature. The legendary bodybuilder recently celebrated his 61st birthday and gave fans a gift in the form of an actual photo of his form, proving why he is considered one of the best bodybuilders of all time.
Even in his 60s, Levrone shows off massive and sculpted arms, full shoulders and a chest that would be the envy of most athletes a generation younger than him. The photo, which quickly went viral, sparked a wave of awe and respect across the fitness community. Comments such as "unreal", "genetic prodigy" and "eternally young" only confirm his icon status.
Kevin Levrone, who was born on July 16, 1964, dominated the professional scene in the 1990s and early 2000s. During his illustrious career, he racked up over 20 professional victories, including two titles at the prestigious Arnold Classic. Yet his most prized title, the Sandow statuette for the winner of Mr. Olympia, always eluded him by a whisker.
His story is that of the "uncrowned king." He has finished runner-up at Mr. Olympia a total of four times, where he has fought legendary duels with giants like Dorian Yates and Ronnie Coleman. It was these close second places (in 1992, 1995, 2000 and 2002) that made him a fan favorite and a symbol of a fighter who never gives up.
Although he officially retired from his professional career years ago and returned to the Olympia stage for a while in 2016, his love of training clearly hasn't faded. Levrone is living proof that bodybuilding is not just a sport, but a lifestyle. His ability to maintain such muscle mass and quality at 61 years old never ceases to inspire millions of people around the world.
