Is his mind blown, or is he [bleep] made of iron? Russian bodybuilder swaps dumbbells for a bear and the world just shakes its head

Sergey Danilov, who calls himself "The Russian Giant" in the community, is a professional in the prestigious IFBB Pro League. He is known for his brutal strength - in the gym he routinely "trains" with weights that are completely unimaginable for ordinary mortals. Deadlifts with 60kg dumbbells or dozens of reps with a 50kg kettlebell overhead? Routine for him.

But this time, he decided to push the boundaries even further and swapped the dumbbells for the company of a forest predator. In the videos, which instantly went viral on the internet and racked up over 2 million views, Danilov stands in close proximity to a massive bear and calmly flexes his muscles.

Strength against nature

Although the bear was likely trained, the sight of the muscular man next to an animal that inspires natural respect and fear has sparked a stormy reaction. "This is pure madness," read one of the many comments under his post. Others marvel at the courage and symbolism of combining human strength with that of nature.

Danilov, who is followed by over 100,000 people on Instagram, knows very well how to attract attention. This stunt has earned him worldwide virality. He has shown that the label "giant" belongs to him not only because of his 140 kilograms of live weight, but also because of the style with which he presents himself.

Preparing for the peak of the season?

Danilov makes no secret of the fact that his goals are the highest. He is constantly working on his form and there is speculation about his next starts on international stages. The question is what he plans next. It won't be easy to overcome posing with a bear.

But one thing is for sure - the Russian school of bodybuilding has once again confirmed that it is not afraid of extremes. Whether it's genetics, training weights or bizarre marketing stunts, Sergey Danilov is a name we'll definitely be hearing in the coming months.
