"I am one step closer to my dream form," says Aleš Lamka 7 months before the race
As you know from our articles, Ales Lamka is trying to win a professional card in the NPC federation for the third year already. He failed in the previous years, so he is trying his luck again this year. At the beginning of last June, Ales competed at the Champions Cup Pro Qualifier 2023, where he did not do badly, but it was not enough to get a pro card. On June 11, 2023, Lamka tried to become a pro again, this time at the FA Battle of Champions Pro Qualifier 2023, but once again he failed to impress the judges enough to make it happen. In the battle for the overall win, Lamka placed behind second place André Gerstner of Germany.
During the end of June last year, Lamka took part in the last race of the year. He took to the race boards in Milan, where he once again failed to meet his goal and did not earn his pro card. He summed it all up on his social media as follows:
Yay gold!!!! Or not... I finished fourth in Italy. I did everything I could to get in shape. I think I looked the sharpest and best I've looked in the last few races. The results are not up to my expectations.
I'm very bummed to end the season and go into the off phase, to give my body and head a rest.
I'm sorry to everyone I let down... Will the Road to Olympia continue? I honestly don't know. I don't think I'm really up to it.
But in about 7 months we will see Ales racing again. He recently posted on his social media:
7 months until the races. I'm one step closer to my dream form, which hopefully I will show there. It's still a long road, but I'm going to enjoy every bit of it.
