"I always knew the stage was my home," Fitzwater writes a week after EVLS
It's been a week and a half since the Prague stage saw one of the biggest bodybuilding dramas of the year. The haze of confetti has dissipated and the trophy for the EVLS Prague Pro 2025 king has its firm place on Martin Fitzwater's shelf. The sensation that was talked about in the semi-finals has become a reality and the American strongman is still processing that he defeated the giant Samson Dauda in a straight fight.
While the bodybuilding world analyzes his form and unexpected victory, Martin himself put his feelings best on his instagram.
"I always knew. The stage is my home. I know what's in me, even though you may not see it yet."
These words are more than just a caption for a photo. They sum up the journey of a man who wasn't the frontrunner, but who believed in his work. Dauda's defeat was not an accident, it was the result of the conviction Fitzwater described.
A week and a half after his once-in-a-lifetime victory, Martin Fitzwater is no longer just "the guy who challenged Dauda". He is the King of Prague, and with a direct qualification for Mr. Olympia 2026 in his pocket, he proved that the bodybuilding world definitely needed to see what was in him.
