Farhanna Farid (52kg) set an IPF World Deadlift record of 208kg at the 2023 Asian Championships!
Farhanna Farid gave an incredible deadlift performance at the 2023 APF Asian Championships. It all started with her first attempt when she lifted 190 kilograms (418.9 pounds), which was extremely easy for her. She then moved up to 203.5 kilograms (448.6 pounds) on her second attempt, already breaking the IPF U52KG world record.
However, Farhanna managed to raise the bar much higher on her third and final attempt when she lifted 208 kilograms (458.6 pounds), setting a new IPF world record.
The previous IPF world record in the U52KG category was 203 kilograms (447.5 pounds) and was held by none other than Farhanna Farid herself. She set that mark at the 2023 IPF World Classic Powerlifting Championships just six months ago.
Farid missed only one of her nine attempts, the final squat. Farhanna, on the other hand, managed to set new competition PRs in all events except the squat. This incredible feat secured her the gold medal and the title of APF 2023 Asian Champion.
