Dennis Wolf shocks with his current form: At 47 years old, he's 107 kg and feels like 30!
Dennis Wolf was one of the absolute top bodybuilding athletes in the world from 2000 to 2015. His victory at the 2014 Arnold Classic and regular top 5 finishes at Mr. Olympia made him a legend. After a forced end to his career due to health issues (whiplash injury), Wolf has slimmed down considerably, focusing on health and many fans have grown accustomed to a "leaner" version of him. However, that is now changing.
The end of skinny Wolf: Back to 107 kg
In his latest video (from January 2026), Dennis revealed that he has managed to pack on 237 pounds (about 107.5 kg). That's a huge weight for a mere mortal, but for Wolf, who weighed much more on stage, it's a nice return to a "fuller" appearance.
"I'm trying to stay chiseled but 'bad ass' at the same time. Today I weigh around 107kg, which is quite a lot for me. Since I retired, I've mostly stuck more around 90 kg. This is the first time I've been at this weight and I've kept it for almost a year now," said Wolf.
He also admitted that he didn't like being too thin and his goal is to gain another 5 kg or so. He currently feels amazing in his body and considers this weight to be the perfect compromise between muscularity and functionality.

Less is more: training only 3 times a week
While in the days of preparing for Olympia he used to work out in the gym 5 to 6 times a week, today he relies on quality and recovery. At 47, he realizes that his body needs more time to rest.
- Current frequency: 3 workouts a week.
- Strategy: Focus on maintaining muscle mass without overloading the joints.
"Conditioning is great, body responds very well. I train three times a week. It's not like it used to be, I need more time to recover. I think I've figured it out and it's working," he explains his strategy.
Health as a priority: she feels 30
But the most important news for his fans is his health. Wolf has taken great care to get his body in shape since retiring. The results of his medical examinations are said to be perfect.
"I feel really good. Everything is perfect, I'm healthy, I had everything checked. Honestly, I feel like I'm 30 years old," says Wolf.
On a related note, he also cautioned the up-and-coming generation of bodybuilders against excessive use of performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs). He cautioned that those who overdo it with the "bulking up" tend to have significantly shorter careers and take health risks that aren't worth it.
Will he return to the stage?
Although Wolf looks fantastic for his age and has regained some of his bulk, a competitive comeback (such as at the Masters Olympia) is rather out of the question. While he admits the idea is appealing, at 47 years old, sustainability and health is his priority, not chasing titles.
Dennis Wolf thus remains an inspiration not only as a former champion, but also as an example of how to manage life after a career as a professional athlete - staying fit, strong and above all healthy.
