Currently the strongest man in the Czech Republic, Honza Jiruše, in an interview with Pavel Vacko

300 kg for bench-press, 400 kg for squat, 440 kg for deadlift and 505 kg for trap bar. These are the current strength performances of Honza Jiruš, who is currently considered by many to be the strongest man in our country.

The strongman, who, just like bodybuilders Luboš Chládek and Vojta Koritenský, can rely on the support of Extrifit, is often compared to another icon of strength sports not only in the Czech Republic, but also in the world, namely Petr Petráš, who was even the strongest man in the world with his Total 1160 kg, with performances of 470 kg on squat, 290 kg on bench press and 400 kg on deadlift!

Although it might seem that Honza is very close to Peter's performance, when the sum of his performances on squat, bench and deadlift is 1140 kilograms, as he says, we must remember that he, unlike Peter, does not do these disciplines in one day, but always in separate training sessions, which are separated by several days, which is a huge difference.

Below we offer you to watch a couple of videos, in which the central "hero" is Honza Jiruše.

The first video is a look at Honza's deadlift training. We will see for ourselves that 400 kg is no problem. As Honza himself states, his goal is to pull 455 kilograms in December at a competition, which is the imaginary limit of 1000 pounds!

Honza Jiruše – 400 kg tahám každý týden už rok v kuse:

In the second video we learn more very interesting information, because it was made during an interview with Honza by PR Manager of Extrifit Pavel Vacek.

We learn that Honza used to play football, then he took up boxing, which led him to the gym, and it was only there that he found what he was looking for, i.e. his true self, when he could start to overcome the limits of his own body!
