Brent Swansen, Nathan Spear and Mike Hulusi ahead of New York Pro 2023

Czech professional bodybuilders Slavoj Bednář and Josef Květoň, who made their professional debut at the Arnold Classic South America 2023 a month ago, will be among the fighters who will take the stage at the prestigious New York Pro competition on Sunday, May 20.

Of course, they won't be the only bodybuilders on stage. Many other heavyweights are heading to New York, including Brent Swansen, Nathan Spear and Mike Hulusi, whose forms we can check out below.

The favored fighter for the entire event was supposed to be Sergio Oliva Jr. However, he is struggling to travel from Dubai, where he is currently staying, so his participation is rather unlikely.

Sergio was recently involved in a traffic accident when he was about to make a turn and accidentally hit a courier on a bicycle who suddenly appeared between the cars and could not be seen. Unfortunately, however, the courier fell onto the roadway so unluckily that he was run over by a truck and was killed instantly.

Sergio subsequently spent several days in custody. He is now free again, but cannot leave the country until his compulsory liability insurance pays compensation to the family of the victim of the accident.

But now back to the trio of Brent Swansen, Nathan Spear and Mike Hulusi.

Brent Swansen

Making his second start among the pros is Brent Swansen, who had a very nice debut at last year's Indy Pro where he took a respectable fifth place finish.

Nathan Spear

Just like Brent, Nathan will also make his second professional start in New York. He made his debut last year at the first Boston Pro, where he finished eighth.

Mike Hulusi

The New York Pro 2023 will be the debut start for Mike Hulusi, who won his pro card at the Australian Amateur Grand Prix 2023 at the end of April.
