Arnold Classic Classic Physique 2024 analysis of the leading competitors

Classic Physique athletes are finalizing preparations for the 2024 Arnold Classic, which takes place Feb. 29-March 3 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio. This article provides an overview of the bodybuilding talent in the Classic Physique division and highlights contenders and debutants looking to impress.
The 35th annual Arnold Classic is almost here and the anticipation surrounding this event is at an all-time high. There will be a total of seven bodybuilding divisions in which competitors will battle for gold during the preliminary rounds and finals. The popularity of the Classic Physique category continues to rise thanks to stars like Chris Bumstead, Breon Ansley, Urs Kalecinski and Ramon Rocha Queiroz.
Last year at the 2023 Arnold Classic, Ramon Rocha Queiroz left Ohio with his first title after fighting "The Miracle Bear." However, due to new height and weight restrictions, Kalecinski plans to use the added weight to get bigger this year. In addition, the show will feature a stable of debutants including Eric Brown Jr, Darren Farrell, Damien Patrick, Antoine Loth and Emanuele Riccotti.

Overview and distribution of competitors at the Arnold Classic 2024
Ramon Rocha Queiroz
Ramon Rocha Queiroz, the reigning 2023 Arnold Classic champion, enters this competition with a huge target on his back. Not only did Queiroz hoist gold over his head in his last visit to Ohio, but he showed off some of his best career form. Given his aesthetics, narrow waist and full biceps, he will be difficult for others to match.
In his last competition, Queiroz faced five-time reigning champion Chris Bumstead in a one-on-one fight in the Olympia 2023 finals. In the end, it was Bumstead's posturing and conditioning that led him to victory, but even IFBB Professional League Vice President Tyler Manion confirmed that the gap between the two is closing fast. If Queiroz wins a second AC title, he'll be one step closer to stopping Bumstead in October.
Urs Kalecinski
The modern king of aesthetics, the German Urs Kalecinski, is aiming for the biggest victory of his career. At last year's Arnold Classic 2023, Kalecinski almost caught up with Queiroz and used his great posing skills to gain an edge over his fellow competitors. Kalecinski's performance was all the more impressive because he overcame hospitalization from food poisoning just five days before competing in the second most prestigious competition on the planet.
In addition to reaping the benefits of the new height and weight rules, Kalecinski used the time out of the spotlight to improve his taper, weight and balance. After his last Olympia, Kalecinski picked up momentum after a big win at the Texas State Pro 2023. Kalecinski hopes to duke it out with his opponent Queiroz for the top spot.
Breon Ansley
"Black Swan" has the most awards of any Classic Physique competitor on this roster. Ansley is only getting better as he gets older and he plans to take advantage of the new height and weight limit as well. He holds two Classic Physique Olympia titles and won the 2018 Arnold Classic. Coached by bodybuilding veteran Chris Cormier, Ansley could easily make a run at gold.
Breon Ansley placed fourth in his last appearance at Mr. Olympia behind Urs Kalecki, Ramon Queiroz and Chris Bumstead. If Breon Ansley can perform at his best, the classic physique star could leave Ohio as a two-time champion.
Michael Daboul
After Michael Daboul's dominant wins at the Pittsburgh Pro 2023 and New York Pro competitions, no one could deny that he is a professional bodybuilder. Celebrated for his "dry" conditioning, Daboul also impressed at Olympia, where he finished in sixth place. Daboul last tried his hand at the Arnold Classic in 2022, where he placed fifth. A few months later, however, he took his talents to the Arnold Classic UK and won gold.
Daboul remains a wild card in this competition. With enough weight and his patented level of fitness, he could easily make his way into the first call-up. Daboul, who has tasted gold at Arnold UK in the past, understands the discipline required to walk away a winner at high level shows.
Wesley Vissers
Wesley Vissers is another threat from Classic Physique looking to make a name for himself in Ohio. This will be Vissers' second competition at the Arnold Classic, having placed 10th at the first one in 2019. Since then, Vissers has kept a low profile and focused on improving his physique.
Last year, Vissers took home gold at the Europa Pro 2023. That secured him qualification for the Olympia, which saw him finish seventh on the sport's biggest stage. Vissers has maintained his workload, made a stop at the 2023 Romania Muscle Fest Pro, won gold and now enters this year's Arnold Classic as one of the top contenders.
Black Horse 2024 Arnold Classic Physique
Courage Opara
The black horse Courage Opara is heading to the Arnold Classic 2024. Opara has shown qualities at respected competitions such as Olympia and could shock some of his peers with his excellent form, balance and conditioning.
Opara enters the 2024 Arnold Classic with significant momentum thanks to his recent win at the 2023 San Antonio Pro. Given his completeness and posing ability, fans expect Opara to have a solid shot at the first call-up.
The Arnold Classic 2024 will take place in Columbus, Ohio from February 29 to March 3; don't miss the action. The winner of Classic Physique will undoubtedly enter the October 2024 Olympia show as a front-runner alongside Chris Bumstead.
The live stream will be free thanks to bodybuilding legend Arnold Schwarzenegger!
