King Kamali talks about the 2024 Arnold Classic and says Samson Dauda will be a multiple Mr. Olympia title holder

Iranian bodybuilding veteran King Kamali (Shahriar Kamali) gives a closer look at the action at the upcoming Arnold Classic 2024. In a recent YouTube video, Kamali takes a closer look at the upcoming fight between Samson Dauda and Hadi Choopan. He also supported Dauda in one day winning multiple Mr. Olympia titles.

Ever since the list of competitors for the 2024 Arnold Classic was released, the anticipation surrounding the event has been building momentum. First and foremost on the list was the reigning 2023 Arnold Classic champion Samson Dauda and former Olympia winner Hadi Choopan, who entered the event with a sense of shame, as he was no match for his teammate Derek Lunsford at the biggest sporting event of the year. Up until this point, the bodybuilding community had mostly supported Hadi Choopan to win in Ohio. Former champion Jay Cutler, Dennis James, Chris Cormier and Nick Walker have all voiced their support for a potential "Persian Wolf" triumph . Meanwhile, Brandon Curry and Milos Sarcev predicted that Dauda will get the big win.

Kamali, an IFBB pro from 1990-2000, still keeps a close eye on the division he once competed in. Now, the 51-year-old competitor took the microphone to lay out his expectations for the second most prestigious bodybuilding show on the calendar.

King Kamali talks about the frontrunners of the Arnold Classic 2024 and explains why Samson Dauda will become "multiple Mr.Olympia"

With the sudden departure of Hadi Choopan from the Olympia 2023 stage, Kamali believes that Hadi will prepare for the Arnold Classic 2024 to the best of his ability to show the world that he can still achieve top form, but he still remains confident that Samson will win.

"With Samson, it's about the basics. He's a good person. I have fun with Samson, we communicate, I empathize with him. I send him little messages here and there and every once in a while he'll send me something back saying, 'King, I needed that, thank you'. I just believe he's going to be a multiple Mr. Olympia, that's my opinion."

Kamali says that with the right lighting, Daud's details, such as the definition of his tendons, are more prominent, which could be a relevant factor against someone like Choopan in Ohio.

"Samson's skin is extra black, it's black like Wesley Snipes'. When you have skin like that, the lighting has to be absolutely great for everyone to see what Samson has.

There are pictures where Samson is standing next to Hadi and Derek and you look at him and you think, he could be tougher, he could be, but when the flash bulbs come on and you see the light flicker on their bodies, you're like, holy shit, Samson's got it there. I just hope they get the lighting right."
