A victory that is not measured only by position: Pavel Beran and his personal triumph at EVLS

In our recent article about EVLS Prague Pro 2025, we covered the main sensation of the evening in detail. Martin Fitzwater shocked the world when he defeated Samson Dauda and was rightly talked about as the new King of Prague.

But now, with a short time to spare, we would like to revisit one more moment. A moment that did not take place in the fight for the victory, but was extremely important for the Czech fan. It is Pavel Beran's performance.

For our Open professional it was a return to the home stage in style. In the intense competition that gathered in Prague this year, Pavel took a great 8th place. This is a result that confirms his absolute world class in this field.

However, we were impressed by something that cannot be read from the results lists. Bodybuilding is often perceived as a sport full of sacrifice and stress, where success is decided only by the judges. But Pavel showed that he has found something more.

Shortly after the competition, he shared his feelings on Instagram and his words resonated:

"For the first time in my life I went on stage happy and that was before the semifinals... it couldn't have been anywhere else but home at EVLS. I knew I looked great, the best I could at that moment and for that I felt great. I am grateful to my family, all my friends around me as well as all of you who shared that energy with me! Thank you, thank you, thank you!"

And that's where the real victory lies.

As an editorial staff that has followed the sport for decades, we know the mental toll that preparation takes. Seeing a top athlete who can appreciate their own progress, form and feel great before the verdict is a sign of tremendous mental maturity.

Pavel Beran may not have taken home a medal from Prague in 2025, but he did take away a sense of happiness and satisfaction from his own work, supported by his home crowd. And that is a victory that is often worth more than the placement itself.
