Europa Pro 2021 - seventh professional triumph for Nathan De Asha!
Author: Alicante, Spain, hosted the Jim Manion IFBB Professional League competition called Europa Pro 2021 yesterday, Sunday 15th August, where fighters of all weights in the Open category as well as their colleagues with a maximum weight limit of 212 pounds compared their forms.
Of course, both of the aforementioned categories were then battling it out to qualify for this year's Olympia Weekend, with the top two in each category qualifying directly, and fighters finishing third through fifth earning points towards the qualifying rankings.
Open category
In the men's bodybuilding without weight difference there were nineteen fighters in total, including our fighter Pavel Beran, whose preparation you have watched with us.
Although Pavel is huge, he was not the favorite to win by far. In particular, the pair of Nathan De Asha and Roelly Winklaar, who were clearly the most experienced bodybuilders on the podium, were fit for the role.
Thus, no one could be surprised when they were the two who were immediately invited by the judges to the first semi-final comparisons. In this they were joined by Vladislav Sukhoruchko, Tim Budesheim, Mohammad Nsour and Sarhan Sarhan, who were making their professional debuts here.
Many expected that Paul could appear in the second comparison. However, others got their space and Pavel presented himself in front of the judges only in the third comparison, so it was obvious that he would not make it into the top 10.
The seventh professional victory was finally scored by Nathan De Asha, who offered not only impressive volumes, round and full muscles, but also, unlike Roelly, a more complex physique.
Second place was thus taken by Roelly Winklaar, who has managed to work on himself very significantly since his last start at the recent Wings of Strength Chicago 2021! Not only was he fuller, but he also offered the audience his proverbial WOW factor!
The only weakness was his thighs which, compared to previous summers, had lost some of their bulk.
Third place went to Tim Budesheim, who offered both excellent volumes and equally good form.
Fourth place went to Vladislav Sukhoruchko, securing third place in the qualifying rankings, and together with the pair of Mohamed Shaaban and Hassan Mostafa, he can now stand on the podium at this year's Olympia, where he will be the youngest competitor!
Sarhan Sarhan also managed to break into the top five on his professional debut.
Our Pavel Beran is finally listed on the results list in 13th place. What the judges didn't like about his character so much that they didn't give him a chance in the second call, where many believe he belonged, we will never know. Paul himself doesn't know where he went wrong, and according to his own words, he doesn't want to know!

Categories up to 212 pounds
In the lighter weight category there were much fewer fighters, eleven. No one was a clear favourite here, with only Steve Benthin and Nasser Sayed being slightly more prominent names to be reckoned with for the top spots.
As expected, both of them appeared right away in the initial comparison, in which they were joined by Dan Cristian, Pasquale D'Angelo, Radoslav Angelov and Vladimir Yakovlev.
In the end, Vladimir Yakovlev took the victory in his second professional start. He, although he has to burn a lot of muscle mass at the end of his training to fit the weight limit, presented himself with massive, full, rounded and yet chiseled to the bone muscles. It was a far cry from what he offered in his pro debut at the 2019 Wings of Strength Romania Muscle Fest Pro, where he placed 12th.
The second place Pasquale D'Angelo also has to deal with the fact that he has to lose some muscle to meet the weight limit at the end of his preparation. Despite this, he presented himself in the form of his life in Spain and, like Vladimir Yakovlev, qualified for the 212 Olympia 2021.
Dan Cristian also managed to break into the Top 3.
