Daniel Švach: "I've had the longest racing streak of my career so far!"

We bring you an exclusive interview with bodybuilder Daniel Švach, who has been competing for some time now, but this year has been very busy for him, but also successful, so we prepared some questions for him, which he answered immediately and you can learn about what it is like to compete all over Europe through this interview.

Hi Daniely, you have a streak of five successful races under your belt, but our readers may not know you, could you give us a brief description and introduction?

Hello to all readers. My name is Daniel Švach, this year I celebrated my 30th birthday and I live in Frýdek-Místek, where everything around bodybuilding started. I've been doing this sport for eight years and I've done a total of 22 competitions. My beginnings started with fitness competitions here at home and I worked my way up to international competitions all over Europe.

I am a member in an association called NPC Worldwide/ProQualifier and now compete in the 102kg category. My hobby is also my occupation. I am a personal trainer and I love to help people in this field. I educate myself daily about bodybuilding and fitness and then pass that on to my clients.

Would you like to tell us exactly what races you visited and how you did?

This year I had the longest racing streak in my career so far. I have been to 5 competitions, in different countries. Some of the competitions I combined with sightseeing, some even with a holiday by the sea.
The first competition held at the beginning of July under the name Olympia Amateur Portugal went great, I placed 5th. The winner of my category was Dean White, who also won the pro 212 lb the day after.

Three weeks later I competed at the British Championships in London where I came 4th. The day after the competition, my wife and I flew to Alicante, Spain. We spent 8 days in this city and we finished this whole vacation with the Empro Classic, from which I took home the gold. I narrowly missed winning the pro card, it was won by a local competitor from the over 102 kg category.

After returning home from Spain I continued my preparation for the EVLS Prague Amateur for the next 3 weeks. Unfortunately, I finished in 3rd place in the competition with Czech competitors.

I finished my season a week later with a competition in a small Austrian town near Vienna. Here I took 2nd place. I was beaten by an Austrian competitor who was undoubtedly much better in terms of volume.

So I got medals from 5th to 1st place, only the absolute victory and getting a pro card didn't work out.

What races do you think were the most challenging in terms of competition?

The most charged was the Olympia Amateur in Portugal. There were a lot of competitors in great shape from all over the world, even from Brazil. It was a real treat to stand on the boards with such fighters and to come fifth in such a competitive field. Another busy competition was in London called the British Championships. In my category I was compared with eight competitors, all of them were perfectly prepared and some of them much more muscular. I placed 4th.

Would you highlight one of these events from the organizer's side, where you had the best time as a competitor?

Traditionally, England has been the best in terms of organisation. At every 2 Bros event I've raced at, the organisation has been great. I love competing in England because the people are very friendly. Beyond that, I can't fault the competitions in Austria, Spain or Portugal.

What are your plans for the future and when can we see you on the boards again?

My plan for the future is very clear and I am working hard to achieve it. Getting a pro card and competing amongst the pros in the 212 lb category is also a dream of mine. This season my coach was Jan Turek, whom I would like to thank for our year-long cooperation. We did a really great job and moved a little bit closer to my dream. But for next season I decided to change. I agreed to work with English professional and top coach Kuba Cielen, from whom I will learn a lot of new things.
