Could Quinton Eriya be the future face of a new era of bodybuilding?

Despite the fact that the massive Egyptian Mamdouh "Big Ramy" Elssbiay has become a bodybuilding icon over the past two years, the world is currently calling stop! Bring back the bodybuilding trend to the golden era when aesthetics and symmetry were more than volumes. And why do people want to bring back the old days? They don't like one thing and that is that bodybuilders are dying at too young an age and not taking care of their health. Even one of the best bodybuilders of the past, Arnold Schwarzenegger , pointed out this fact.

If we look back just a few weeks, we can see that Shaun Clarida, one of the smallest competitors in bodybuilding, won the Legion Sports Fest Pro 2021. Shaun not only put himself in a higher category, but he was able to obliterate the bigger bodybuilders on the podium and showed everyone that you can win with much smaller volumes.

The trend set by Dorian Yates and Ronnie Coleman is starting to get out of hand and points to the fact that competitors are gambling too much on being healthy at the expense of results. If everything goes along the same lines as it has been, young and promising bodybuilders such as Nick Walker, Hunter Labrada or Regan Grimes could one day become future bodybuilding icons and no one would be surprised. But, as we said, the question is whether the trend will change and aesthetics and symmetry will start to take the place of volume again.

Thanks to this, instead of the aforementioned racers, for example, the beautifully built Canadian racer Quinton Eriya could become an icon. This Canadian entered the pro scene two years ago in 2019, when he showed very good results at the Toronto Pro Supershow and the Vancouver Pro. Quinton is currently preparing for the Romania Muscle Fest Pro, which will take place this weekend in Bucharest.

Quinton Eriya's current form (pictured right) was shared on his Instagram by Dorian "Heavy D" Hamilton, who is the athlete's coach. It seems that another battle will break out in Romania, where it will be interesting to see what shapes the judges will prefer and if the current "unrest" will change the trend that is currently set.
