Regan Grimes wins California Pro 2025 | Results and reportage

On May 24th, a super important event took place in Anaheim, California - California State Championships 2025. It was one of the last chances for bodybuilders to win a place at Mr. Olympia, so the excitement could be cut! Every muscle, every pose, everything counted.

And who shone the brightest? Definitely Regan Grimes! This was his second appearance this year and it's clear that his hard work behind the scenes paid off. He brought absolutely perfect form to the stage, was fuller and just overall better than ever, which catapulted him straight to victory and the coveted qualification for Mr. Olympia 2025. It was clear during the morning prejudging that Regan was the favourite - they kept him in the middle of the comparative rounds all the time, which is such a silent sign that the judges are keeping a close eye on him as a potential winner.

What about Sasan Heirati? This guy is fighting like a lion this year! He has come close to winning several times and this time was no different - he finished second. Sure, his conditioning was top notch and his muscles were rippling beautifully, but even when he was pushing Regan to the limit, Regan's overall size and width, especially in the back poses, were just a class above. Unfortunately Sasan again failed to take the gold, but he certainly showed that he is one of the elite.
