Masters Olympia 2025: Dorian Haywood shines in Tokyo!

The Masters Olympia returned once again to celebrate the experience and determination of athletes who continue to show incredible form well into their forties. The event, organized under the auspices of the IFBB Pro League, attracted top athletes from all over the world - including Czech athlete Slavoj Bednar.

Dramatic Turnaround in the Royal Men's Open category

The most watched category was undoubtedly Men's Open Bodybuilding. After the semi-final ranking (prejudging) it seemed that Phil Clahar had the victory in his pocket, having built up a solid lead. Dorian Haywood was only in third place at that point. However, something unprecedented happened during the final. Haywood was able to impress the judges so much that he not only leapfrogged second place Domenico Intermaggio, but even the leader Clahar, and in the end took the title by the smallest of margins. His win was billed as one of the biggest surprises and most dramatic comebacks in years. Slavoj Bednar takes home sixth place!

Winners of Other Key Divisions

Other categories were also contested for prestigious titles. Here are the winners of the most important divisions:

• 212 Bodybuilding: the title went to Samir Troudi, who defeated the legendary Hidetada Yamagishi.
• Classic Physique: Alex Cambronero won, followed by Yukihiro Yuasa.
• Men's Physique.
• Women's Bodybuilding.
• Figure.
• Bikini: First place went to Kerryne Henich.
• Fitness: The title went to Jenny Worth.
• Wellness: The winner was Nana Silva.

The Masters Olympia 2025 competition in Tokyo confirmed its status as one of the most important events on the bodybuilding calendar and showed that age really is just a number. For fans around the world, it was a celebration of determination, perseverance and love for the iron game.
