Giants Live World Tour Finals 2025 - coverage and results
On 18 October 2025 another strongman event from the Giants Live series took place in Glasgow. But this time the competition had a significant Czech footprint. Ondra Fojtů from Brno took care of this footprint and shone twice. We'll talk about that in the course of the report.
On that day, 13 fighters gathered in Scotland to measure their strength and compete in five difficult disciplines, with the first discipline counted as the World Loglifting Championships for this year.
- Loglift max
- Load & Push
- Carry & Drag
- Wrecking Ball Hold
- Atlas Stones
Loglift max
Log to the max - an amazing start to a race that promises to be the best it can be. This discipline has also been set as a separate World Loglift Championships for 2025. That's why one more competitor competed in this discipline, with Jack Osborn from Great Britain as a guest, who not only won, but set a new British record with his 222kg overhead. The previous record holder was Luke Stoltman, who got 220 kg over his head.
But let's get back to the race. Third overall in the event went to Tom Stoltman who managed to get an even 200kg overhead. Second place on the discipline, but full points for the race went to the Czech titan Ondrej Fojtů, who not only improved the Czech National Record, but also broke his Junior World Record (under 23 years old, ed.) by a fantastic 220 kg. Unfortunately, one of my favourite strongmen of the recent past, Mateusz Kieliszkowski from Poland, was injured and withdrew from the competition.
Load & Push
I would compare the second discipline to Czech gardening. First you have to load 3 different objects into a wheelbarrow and then take it away. But this is the hardcore version. The first was a 10m anvil, weighing 120kg. The second was a 100kg tyre for 15 metres. The third was a sack weighing 140kg for 20 metres. Once the wheelbarrow was loaded, all you had to do was push it 20 metres to the finish. The time limit was set at 75 seconds. Proof of the balance of the entire starting field is that 11 of the 12 competitors fit within the 8 second time limit.
The third place was taken by Evans Nana Aryee, a Ghanaian living in Belgium, we can know him from his home races, where he competed in the 2023 Vrdy. His time was 51.43 seconds. Second place Andrew Flynn, a local competitor with a time of 49.58. The winner on the disicpline was Luke Richardson, also a home fighter, who flew through the course in 49.52 seconds. Ondra finished 7th with a time of 52,52 seconds. In the second discipline the American competitor Tim Buck was unfortunately injured and also withdrew.
Carry & Drag
Another medley, duck walk with 250 kg weight over 10 meters and then pulling a 350 kg anchor on a chain over 20 meters. I like these imaginative weights. The spectator will also enjoy a lot of adrenaline. The top 3 stayed the same, they just got a bit more shuffled around. Third, Andrew Flynn, 31.51 seconds. Luke Richardson second with a time of 29.85. The winner, Evans Nana in a fantastic 28.35 seconds. Ondra Fojtů improved with a time of 35.03 to take 6th place.
Wrecking Ball Hold
Wrecking ball hold. The equivalent of the discipline that was seen this year at the competition in Brno, only instead of a ball, the competitors held a barrel with a weight. It might be worth mentioning that it was not a full deadlift, the ball chain was set higher, but the grip in the handles was very narrow, considering the size of the competitors it was really visible. Second place went to the great Ondra Fojtů, his time was 91.37 seconds. And Andrew Flynn beat Ondra by just half a second with a total time of 91.75.

Atlas Stones
Sometimes called Casle stones, concrete spheres weighing between 120 and 200 kg. The competitors were tasked with placing a total of 5 spheres on 5 different high pedestals, the heavier the altas, the lower the pedestal. But it was definitely not easy, the competitors went to the last event very tired. The third place matador Gavin Billton from Wales (Great Britain) managed all the stones in 29,98 seconds. Second place Ondřej Fojtů, needed maximum points, his time 29,16 seconds. The winner of the class above is none other than Tom Stoltman, who in the history of his races has not taken first place perhaps only once. His time. 23.52 seconds.
Before the last discipline Ondra Fojtů was still third by half a point. He needed to beat Evans Nana Aryee at all costs, and he did. Third place went to Adrew Flynn with a total of 49.5 points. The second place went to Ondra Fojtů from the Czech Republic with 52 points. The winner was Luke Richardson with 54 points, who had the most comprehensive results for the whole race. Congratulations.
