Cedric McMillan will not compete at the 2022 Arnold Classic

During the second half of this week, the long-awaited Arnold Classic 2022 will begin. One of the big highlights of this show is the Men's Open category, in which the biggest bodybuilding monsters compete. Although fourteen competitors were supposed to compete in this division, some have already announced their withdrawal from the competition. Among those are Nathan De Ashy, Mohamed Shaaban, Akim Williams and Rafael Brandão. Cedric McMillan will thus become the fifth competitor not to appear at the show. The race list has thus been narrowed down to the following names:

Men's Open

• William Bonac (Netherlands)
• Maxx Charles (USA)
• Brandon Curry (USA)
• Samson Dauda (United Kingdom)
• Regan Grimes (Canada)
• Steve Kuclo (USA)
• Fabio Giga Rezende (Brasil)
• Justin Rodriguez (USA)
• Brett Wilkin (USA)

Cedric will not take part in the race allegedly because he will not have time to prepare properly. So it's another show for McMillan, and unfortunately he's not going to make it. The failures of last season seem to be catching up with him. McMillan almost died during last July. He was hospitalized for three weeks where he lost around 30lbs! After being released from the hospital, Cedric returned to training for the 2021 Arnold Classic, looking to make up for his deficit. However, he didn't take the advice of the doctors and his tired body and sick of trying the impossible. This approach led to further health problems and subsequent withdrawal from the competition.

McMillan subsequently competed in the Legion Sports Fest Pro 2021, where he did not participate in the final bouts and withdrew from the competition after the semifinal bouts. He only spoke:

Well it's official... I suck!

After that performance, Cedric went completely silent on his social media and no one knew where he stood. However, not long after that, he commented on all the circumstances that befell him and was just given the opportunity to show up at the 2022 Arnold Classic. However, we won't see McMillan there either.
