Arnold Schwarzenegger donates $55,000 to Ukrainian strongman!

Even though Ukraine is in a state of war, Ukrainian strongman Oleksi Novikov competed at the 2022 Arnold Strongman Classic last weekend. Before the event, no one knew if the strongman would show up for the competition due to the problems plaguing his native country. However, Oleksi did make it to next year's ASC and competed with nine other world-class strongmen.

And it was this former 2020World's Strongest Man who managed to take second place in this race!

During the announcement itself, Arnold himself took the floor, and in his speech, he increased Oleksi's second place prize money from $25,000 to $80,000! Arnold also did this act apparently because he knew that Novikov was doing a public fundraiser to help Ukraine, which he was sending to the medical department.

After the conclusion of ASC 2022, on March 6, 2022, Novikov took to his Instagram page to share a post with the caption:

"This is all for you, my Ukrainians. We have good news. Glory to Ukraine."
