Arnold Classic UK 2021 - the first edition of the British professional show was dominated by Nathan De Asha!
The first weekend of October in the UK belonged to bodybuilders competing in Jim Manion's IFBB Professional League. The first ever Arnold Classic UK was held here!
Fourteen heavyweights took part in the fights, including the local fighter Nathan De Asha, who was, quite deservedly, considered to be the strongest favourite to win!
So it was no surprise when Nathan was immediately selected by the judges, led by IFBB Professional League head judge Jim Manion Steve Weinberger, for the first semi-final comparison. In it, Samson Dauda, Theo Leguerrier and Patrick Johnson were also posing, with the Dauda - De Asha duo in the middle of the line, thus battling for the triumph!
Steve then gave both of the above mentioned fighters a hard time during the finals, trying to get the best out of them, literally!
Until the last moment, it was not quite clear who of the above-mentioned pair dominated the competition, and not only the spectators but also the contestants themselves had to wait until the announcement of the results.
Even before the announcement, two chairs appeared on the stage, one for the winner and the other for the personality who would present the trophy to the winner. That person was none other than the king of professional bodybuilding, eight-time Mr. Olympia winner Ronnie Coleman!
As everyone knows, Ronnie has long-standing problems with his lower limbs, and only moves with the help of a cane. This is how the organisers were able to present him with his trophy in the form of a statuette.
This was eventually taken from his hands by local fighter Nathan De Asha!

Nathan scored a very important victory! Not only did he dominate the first edition of this competition, making an indelible mark in its history, but it happened in front of his family and friends, which is a much more important aspect for him!

The importance of this triumph can also be inferred from the fact that it most likely cost him his participation in this year's Mr. Olympia! In fact, as we informed you in our recent pre-contest special dedicated to this most prestigious contest in the world of bodybuilding, travel to the USA is still prohibited for those who have stayed in the Schengen area, Great Britain, Ireland, Brazil or South Africa during the past fortnight!
In addition, it has been reported that Nathan, who qualified for this year's Olympics by triumphing at the Europa Pro 2021, had an open gym during the lockdown, which was ordered in the UK as one of the measures against the spread of Covid-19 coronavirus, even though this was strictly forbidden! This not only resulted in him being fined financially and having to refund the entrance fee collected, but should also have prevented him from obtaining a visa to enter the USA!
Whether or not Nathan will eventually take the stage at this fest is not yet clear, although some of the bodybuilding sites are already taking his non-participation as a done deal!
The second place was then taken by Samson Dauda, who has managed to work very significantly on his volumes since last season, without losing any of his symmetry! Very emotional then was his excellent free routine. He dedicated it to his late coach John Meadows!
