A new era of Olympia begins - Olympia EXPO becomes Olympia World Fitness Festival!

As you already know from us, this year's Joe Weider Olympia Fitness & Performance Weekend will take place from December 16-20!

In addition to the date, there has also been a change of venue as this spectacular event moves from the Orleans Arena, where it has been held since 2005, to at the Planet Hollywood Las Vegas hotel resort and casino!

This complex is located in an area called the Strip, which is home to some of the largest hotels, casinos and entertainment resorts in the world. This makes it one of the most famous and iconic tourist destinations not only in the USA, but in the entire world!

After the event was moved, it became clear that the Olympia EXPO sports trade show, which was held at the Las Vegas Convention Center, would also need to be moved.

These days it has been announced that the move is indeed happening, and not just that!

The expo will now be held at the Sands Expo & Convention Center. This is located about 5 minutes away from Planet Hollywood, the venue of the Olympia Weekend.

Besides being within easy reach of the host hotel, the Sands Expo & Convention Center also offers five exhibition halls and an abnormally generous space. Judge for yourself:

• Total area = 123,000^m2
• Largest exhibition area (Hall G) = 35,000^m2

Dan Solomon, President and CEO of Olympia Weekend, comments:

We listened carefully to feedback from fans and exhibitors. The vision for our new Olympia World Fitness Festival is a reflection of how multi-faceted the fitness community has become. This evolution was long overdue.

Tim Gardner, Sports Fair Director, adds:

We are bringing a new vision to the convention centre, while creating the best possible experience for fans, athletes and exhibitors. It's the beginning of a new era!
