2 weeks before the Olympia VS. 3 weeks after the Olympia - Patrik Herčzík takes a well-deserved rest
Patrik Herčzík made his Olympia debut this year, as did Slovak giant Michal Križánek. Both competitors qualified for the Vegas race by winning the professional competition held in Prague - EVLS Prague Pro 2022.
Although Patrik didn't plan on going to the professional ELVS at the beginning, he did attend it after all and it seems he did very well. But let's go to Olympia itself. Patrik made it to the semi-finals of this event in the third heat, but ended up not placing.
Patrik wrote a few lines on Instagram for you about his feelings after the races.
Maybe not the prettiest, but the most valuable photo of my career #frontdoublebiceps - Because how many people can realistically say they have a photo from the biggest bodybuilding stage in the world? Experience. That's something no one will ever take away from you, no matter what they are. It cost me a lot of energy, but we accomplished our goal. And what was the goal? The goal wasn't to get a result, my body was quite tired after a long preparation and my form didn't go exactly as I wanted. The goal was to finish the race and to gain substantial experience from which we can benefit. Now we know where the shortcomings are, we know where the mistakes are and we need to start working on them quietly as soon as possible after adequate rest! However, despite all this, I am exceedingly pleased with the form. In spite of all the complications, we managed to finish it and I did not get lost in the crowded competition! Even some of the competitors, walked around and peeked at me as if they were scared, I guess with the bald spot I look like a leukemia patient about to die, the important thing is that I left an impression on them! And that they have to count on me in the future, because - i'll be back. Ultimately, my body did come back. Now I'm lying sick, cold, immune f*cked and feverish in a hotel room, where I'm laughing at this post at 8am.
Patrik Herčzík | Classic Physique Olympia 2022

However, Patrik recently posted two photos on his Instagram comparing his form before and after the Olympics. It should be pointed out that Patrik has been battling an illness, which has taken its toll on his form. He comments as follows:
1. The photo is about 2 weeks before Olympia, weight about 95kg. 2. The photo is about 3 weeks after Olympia, weight about 97,5kg. In total over two weeks of illness. Three weeks without training through Christmas, birthdays and the new year have left their mark. Like it could have been worse given the circumstances, so for me #notbad.
