Most probiotic supplements contain lactobacilli or bifidobacteria, so their use increases the production of bacteria in the small intestine. And this can be a problem for some people because they increase the amount of bacteria in the small intestine. Therefore, such probiotics are not entirely suitable for those who suffer from, for example, SIBO. More suitable are "soil probiotics", e.g. containing Bacillus coagulans. LactoSpore® probiotics are actually probiotics based on soil beneficial bacteria. Soil-based probiotics do not invade the small intestine or consume the beneficial bacteria already growing in it.

The most natural approach to restoring the balance of gut flora should be to use naturally occurring microorganisms. It prevents the growth of putrefactive microorganisms that can negatively affect subsequent impaired gut function and lead to various digestive problems.
