Micellar casein offers a quality system with a gradual release of amino acids, thanks to the micelle form in which it is processed. Micellar Casein is made by ultrafiltration of milk protein. The resulting raw material contains around 85% protein!
Based on a clinical study conducted by Dr. Yves Boire, the difference in metabolic availability tested between whey protein and micellar casein was more than 7 hours. This result was very interesting and proved that the use of whey protein and micellar casein has a completely different focus due to the length of amino acid absorption and availability. In other words, it means that micellar casein has a strong anticatabolic effect , i.e. it helps to protect muscle mass.
