Colostrum is the first milk produced by mammals, including cows, during the first few days after giving birth. This milk is highly nutritious and contains high concentrations of immunoglobulins (antibodies), growth factors, vitamins, minerals, and other bioactive substances. Colostrum is essential for providing passive immunity to newborn calves.
Colostrum 60% IgG is a specific type of colostrum derived from cow’s milk that is standardized to contain 60% immunoglobulin G (IgG). Standardization to 60% IgG ensures a high concentration of these key antibodies. Simply put, 60% of the content consists of immunoglobulin G, which is essential in the body of every mammal.
