The D-form of Aspartic Acid is a completely natural component of all living organisms, including the human body. It is most abundant in the endocrine glands (pituitary gland, testicles), where it is involved in the synthesis of luteinizing hormone and testosterone stimulated by it. Our body can metabolically produce D-Aspartic Acid on its own, however, as we age (from about 30 years of age), the production of luteinizing hormone gradually decreases.
