Wings of Strength Tampa Pro 2019 - phenomenal Dexter Jackson dominated the competition!

The American peninsula of Florida hosted the twelfth edition of the Wings of Strength Yamamoto Nutrition Tampa Pro, which is held under the IFBB Professional League of Jim Manion, this past weekend, August 2nd and 3rd.

The meet was the absolute last chance for both male bodybuilding categories, the Open representatives and their counterparts in the 212lb division, to qualify for this year's Olympia Weekend.
So it's not surprising that both categories were not only packed with a large number of competitors, but also full of big names vying to qualify for Olympia Weekend.

Open category

Twenty fighters lined up amongst the heavyweights, with our own Milan Šádek and Lukas Osladil, and the pair of Iain Valliere and Luke Sandoe fighting for qualification in particular.
Since only the winner always qualifies for the Olympia and the other fighters can only rely on a sufficient number of points for the qualification ranking, not all of them could rejoice, especially when the holder of the Mr. Olympia title from 2008, five-time Arnold Classic winner and record holder in the number of professional victories, the phenomenal Dexter Jackson, also stood on the podium with them !

Immediately in the first semi-final comparison all the above mentioned fighters stood next to each other at the request of the judges, when they were joined by Hassan Mostafa. Dexter Jackson and Luke Sandoe posed in the middle of the line, making it obvious that this pair would emerge the winner.
The third and fourth place was first fought for by the pair of Iain Valliere and Hassan Mostafa, but he was eventually replaced by our Lukáš Osladil.
Hassan thus became a rival for another of our competitors Milan Šádek in the fight for a place in the TOP 5.

First semifinal comparison:

The 29th professional triumph and direct qualification to Mr. Olympia was won by 50-year-old Dexter Jackson without much trouble!

The fighter, who offered incredible muscular maturity, perfect symmetry, sharp, full and perfectly separated muscles, possessed almost no weakness. We almost write because he did have one, and that was a lack of control of his abdominal muscles. This, however, could be forgiven, considering his qualities.

With Shawn Rhoden and most likely the pair of Phil Heath and Mamdouh Elssbiay not competing at this year's Olympia, Dex is without a doubt one of the strongest favourites for the title!

Second place went to Luke Sandoe, who secured the second spot in the qualifying rankings, and will take to the Mr. Olympia stage for the first time. There he could easily break into the Top 10 thanks to his symmetry, muscle volume and excellent muscle separation!

Third place went to Iain Valliere, who missed out on qualifying for Mr. Olympia by just one point. Iain competed in Tampa in his best form of the season, and many even consider it to be his form of a lifetime!

Fourthplace was earned by our Lukas Osladil! He secured the top spot in the qualifying rankings, and for the fourth time in a row he will stand on the podium at Mr. Olympia.
There he could certainly, like Luke Sandoe, fight for a place in the Top 10, given his undeniable qualities!

Hassan Mostafa, who had the most massive quadriceps on the podium inhis debut season amongst the pros, managed to make his way into the Top 5!

The sixth place in the competition and finally in the qualification ranking belongs to the second of our fighters, Milan Šádek. He missed the coveted Olympia. Even so, he does not have to be sad about his results, because slowly but surely he is becoming one of the best bodybuilders of today!

Categories up to 212 pounds

Twenty-five fighters took to the podium in the under 212lb division, and you'd be hard pressed to find a clear favourite among them! In fact, several of them could have fought their way not only to triumph, but also to the coveted advancement to this year's Olympia 212 Showdown.
One of those was the foursome of Kim Jun Ho, Bola Ojex, Samir Troudi and John Jewett, who were very close to advancing thanks to their qualifying ranking. Not to be forgotten, however, were Charles Dixon and Guy Cisternin, who have also proven themselves to be very good competitors in the past!

It was the latter, Guy Cisternino, who posed alongside John Jewett, Zane Watson, Austin Karr, Shane Stewart and Karol Małecki in the first semi-final comparison, with John Jewett and Zane Watson, who had already secured qualification in mid-July with his triumph in Vancouver, battling it out for the win in the middle of the row.

The first semi-final comparison:

With his first win among the elite, John Jewett, racing in the form of his life, finally left the podium with a well-deserved victory!
He has secured his first participation in the Olympia Weekend, where, if he offers the same qualities as here, i.e. excellent form, hard, full, sculpted and perfectly separated muscles and a very hilarious skin conditioning, he can think of a high placing in the Olympia 212 Showdown!

Zane Watson, who finished second here, could be in a similar position.

Third place went to Guy Cisternino, who needed a win here to make it through to Olympia Weekend.

Fourth place went to Austin Karr, who certainly offered some of the best quadriceps in the history of this category!

Last to squeeze into the Top 5 was Shane Stewart, the overall winner of last year's NPC USA.

Although Bola Ojex only finished 8th here, he will still be looking at Olympia! In the qualification rankings, he, like Mahmoud Al Durrah, is the third and final qualifier.

The competition ended in a complete failure for the seasoned Charles Dixon, who finished 14th!

Overall results:
