Wings of Strength Puerto Rico Pro 2019 - Milan Šádek won a great second place!!
On May 25 and 26, the Puerto Rican city of San Juan hosted the fourth edition of the Wings of Strength Yamamoto Nutrition Puerto Rico Pro, where on Sunday, May 26, the heavyweights from the Open category got the opportunity to measure their musculature and form, and a day earlier, on Saturday, May 25, the 212s also got the chance to compete.
Open category
There were very few weightlifters on the podium on Sunday, as only the foursome of Derek Upshaw, Jonathan Delarosa, Andrea Muzi and our fighter Milan Šádek, a member of the team of athletes sponsored by Amix Nutrition, stood in front of the judges.
Although there were very few fighters on the podium, it didn't mean that there wasn't a fierce battle for the triumph. From the very beginning of the competition it was the duo Milan Šádek vs. Jonathan Delarosa.
This pair met a week ago on the podium of the New York Pro competition, where Milan did better and took a great 3rd place. Jonathan was close behind in 4th place.
It should be noted that Jonathan came to Puerto Rico in noticeably better shape than he was in New York, so it was very interesting to see how the judges would ultimately score these two very well prepared fighters.
The semifinal part of the competition
In the end, the victory went to Jonathan Delarosa, who undoubtedly offered much more muscle than Milan. In the eyes of the judges, he dominated both the semi-final and final part of the competition, and scored his second victory among the professionals. Of course, this is a direct qualification for this year's Olympia Weekend.
Milan scored a great 2nd place, and is certainly having his best start to the season since he moved up to the elite! Milan is not far away from taking part in the Olympia Weekend either, as he is currently 4th, the first non-advancing position in the qualification ranking. The season is still long, and Milan is proving that he could not only gain some of the necessary points, but it is certainly not unrealistic that he will walk away as a winner from one of the upcoming events!
Andrea Munzi came third and Derek Upshaw last.

In the 212 category, which was contested on Saturday, there were considerably more competitors, with eleven competitors in front of the judges.
The biggest favorite of the bunch was undoubtedly Eduardo Correa, the runner-up at the New York Pro a week ago.
So it was not surprising at all when Correa appeared immediately in the first semi-final call-up, posing in the middle of the line.
In addition to him, a fivesome of Justin Randall, Kim Jun Ho, Dwayne Walker, Dectric Lewis and former Amix Nutrition stablemate Milan Šádek, Slovakian Marian Čambal, who is reportedly entering his final season of competition, posed for the judges.
The first semifinal comparison
Thewinner was the aforementioned Eduardo Correa, who returned to the competition podium after a three-year break, for the fourth time in his career without the slightest problem. With this triumph, the superbly built and tightened racer earned his seventh participation in the Olympia Weekend, where he had his best season in 2014, when he managed to take a fantastic 2nd place!
A very respectable second place was taken by Dectric Lewis, who has a symmetrical physique and life form.
The third place went to Dwayne Walker. He earned his best finish among the elite so far with a great ratio between shoulder width and narrow waist, which portrayed a wonderful "v". Unfortunately, the lower half of the body was weaker.
Behind Walker, in fourth place, was the oldest fighter in the starting field , Kim Jun Ho.
Justin Randall, who was absolutely the best prepared fighter in this category, squeezed into the top 5.
The Slovakian Marian Čambal finished just outside the Top 5 gate.
