UK PRO 2023: A balanced fight between Sayd and Coelho! Herčzík takes bronze | Results and report
The bodybuilding season is in full swing and athletes from all over the world had the chance to fight for a qualifying ticket to Mr. Olympia this weekend. This time the competitions were held at the ExCel Centre in London, where the organizers from 2 Bros Pro Events took charge of seven categories, of which the division up to 212 pounds promised a packed start list, which was probably the most anticipated this time due to the absence of the heavyweights from the Open category.
Up to 212 pounds category
At the British events, with the full name of T.R.U. Athlete UK PRO, a number of interesting situations took place. Despite the fact that the attached amateur competition brought in a new professional bodybuilder, Max Johnson from Scotland, he did not end up completing the ranks of the pros due to not meeting the weight limit. Although he looked really famous this weekend, given his pro card win in the under 102 kg category, it's no wonder he didn't fit into the 212 lbs, which equates to about 96 kg.
Despite his absence, however, the starting field offered quite an interesting spectacle, and out of a total of 10 competitors, three athletes crystallized quite quickly who could probably duke it out in front of the judges for medals. The superbly prepared Lucas Coelho was complemented by the normally gigantic Nasser Sayed and it was clear that these two athletes were not going to be caught by the others.
However, at least Marco Sarcone made an attempt, sending a clear signal that he would be particularly dangerous for his opponents if he could put some more muscle on his already good looking physique. He's still about 9 kilos short of the weight limit of the category and since he's just getting his feet wet among the pros, he'll be a force to be reckoned with.
However, at the moment he could not threaten the duo of the best, because although he showed great readiness, he really lost quite significantly in terms of volume. Coelho and Sayed, however, put up a really even fight and each competitor seemed to excel in certain poses.
After a lengthy comparison, however, Nasser came out of the duel a little better, dominating especially in the back poses and earning himself, as the fourteenth competitor, qualification for Mr. Olympia. The second place went to Coelho, Sarcone finished third and the top five included Daniel Sticco and Dean White, who was one of the paper favourites.

Herčzík took bronze among the classics
Although we don't usually report much about the other categories, this time it is worth making an exception. The Czech racer Patrik Herčzík took the bronze medal in his first entry into the season. But just as important as the great result is the fact that Patrik showed great form and proved that he can keep up with the best.
Despite that, this time the judges preferred more the French competitor Stephane Matala, who dominated the division, Patrik was catching him in all poses and we dare to say that in some comparisons his figure was even better. However, the judges finally decided on the following order:
| 1. | Stephane Masala |
| 2. | Valeri Enchev |
| 3. | Patrik Herčzík |
| 4. | Siem Goossens |
| 5. | Eddie Chipp |
Well, that's it for this report. Congratulations to Patrick on his sensational success and we will keep you updated next week from Irving, USA where the Texas PRO will take place.
