Toronto Pro Supershow 2022 - winner Mohamed Shaaban, Slavoj Bednar in TOP 5!
Toronto, Canada's most populous city and the capital of the province of Ontario, was the venue for the next edition of the Toronto Pro Supershow on Sunday, June 5, held under the banner of Jim Manion's IFBB Professional League.
The 2022 Olympia Weekend nominations were contested here in both main men's categories, that is, among the heavyweights without weight differentiation, as well as among their lighter counterparts with a maximum weight limit of 212 pounds.
The rows below will be dedicated to how the fighters who took the stage at this show fared.
Open Category:
There were a total of eight representatives from the Open category on the podium, including our fighter Slavoj Bednar, for whom this was his third consecutive competitive start.
Mohamed Shaaban, who managed to break into the Top 10 at last year's Mr. Olympia, was considered the biggest favourite to win here from the very beginning!
Since there was no one on the podium who could match his qualities, he was absolutely sure of his second professional victory!
However, what was not so certain was the second place, which was fought for in a very close battle between Theo Leguerrier and Andrea Muzi.
The lucky one in the end was the former, i.e. the fourth man of the recently held New York Pro 2022, who not only offered a slightly more symmetrical physique than his opponent, but also presented quite a good form, which was not usual for him so far.
Fourth place went to Dorian Haywood, for whom this was his third start in a row. He started both the Indy Pro 2022, where he took sixth place, and the aforementioned New York Pro 2022, where he finished seventh.
The same competitions as the aforementioned Haywood were also attended by our Slavoj Bednar, who, as you already know from us, scored a Top 5 finish in Toronto!
Slavoj is competing in the form of his life this year, and he has managed to work on his midsection, which is now visibly more subtle than in the past. His physique, although not one of the most flattering, has thus undergone a significant change for the better!
Slavoj has already commented on his result at home:
Right after the Toronto PRO to share the joy with a man who has a huge part in everything I've done in the last ten years!!
He led me to my first and second Mr. Universe, he helped me to win a pro card to the American IFBB PRO League and most importantly, together even in the highest bodybuilding league we can still rise step by step!
This year we take the first final place overseas as a great success and motivation for another year of hard work!
Our goal is clear!! Same as every year!!
Come back better!!
Thank you Tom!! You're a master!!

Categories up to 212 Pounds:
The 212-pound maximum weight division featured only four fighters, with no one a clear favorite to win. However, due to his bulk, Hossein Kalateh ended up being the winner. The second place went to Murat Gönül.
Third place went to Kentaro Kuramochi, who was making his first start among professionals. Kentaro is considered in his home country as a follower of the very successful Japanese bodybuilder Hidetada Yamagishi, thanks to whose competition he dominated last year, he headed among the elite.
Fourth place was taken by Kim Jun Ho, who returned to the bodybuilders after a very short detour to the Classic Physique category.
