"Thor wants it and so do I, so the potential is there," will Ford fight Bjornsson?

At the end of March this year, the long-awaited fight between Hafthor Bjornsson and Eddie Hall took place. Although many expected the fight to go to a KO, in the end it was up to the judges to decide the winner, who unanimously voted the Icelandic Hafthor Bjornsson the winner of the fight.

Immediately after Bjornsson defeated Hall, Martyn Ford came out with a statement:

I'll tell you what, I'd definitely f***ing knock him out.

Bjornsson responded and said he thought he would "crush him". So there was nothing left to do but agree, but Ford now explains why it wasn't so simple.

"The fight was offered, but the problem is that there are still issues in the Thor/Eddie fight that need to be resolved. Thor wants the fight and so do I, so the potential is there."

So with this statement, Martyn confirms that his fight against Hafthor Bjornsson is not just a made up story, but that it is being discussed between the two. However, he didn't specify the extent of Bjornsson and Hall's problems, so it doesn't give us a glimpse of when a boxing match might happen.
