Teixeira has accepted a rematch with Prochazka, the fight should be in December!

It seems that this December will be packed with a good dose of motivation. For one thing, the next edition of Mr. Olympia will take place from December 15-18, 2022, while on December 10 we should see a rematch between our UFC champion Jiri Prochazka and Glover Teixeira. Jiri defeated Glover in the title fight in June when he was able to choke out Teixeira in the last minute of the last round to become the welterweight champion. However, the duo have agreed between themselves that they will face each other in a rematch at UFC 282, which will just take place on December 10 in Las Vegas.

"I've worked on this before. Send me the location," Glover texted Jiri, who replied, "UFC 282. 10.12. Las Vegas!"

And why does Jirka want a rematch? That's what he said:

"I have made a decision about my next fight. I want to fight Glover Teixeira in my next fight. It's not because it will be another big fight, but I have one clear reason. My performance in the first fight was bad. Now I want to show you why I'm the champion. Clearly and unquestionably. I think Glover deserves a rematch. Here's my offer. I'll show you why I'm the champion,"

Only, UFC pundits are predicting that the fight between these two fighters might not be the main event of UFC 282, as the Stipe Miocic vs. Jon Jones bout is expected to be the blockbuster of the night. We'll see how the whole situation plays out and if the rematch actually happens.
