Strongman Eddie Hall will make his bodybuilding debut in late 2024!
Last year it was 5 years since Eddie Hall became the world's strongest man when he won the World's Strongest Man 2017. It is also 5 years since Eddie retired from racing after that race. Since his lifelong goal was to become the World's Strongest Man, he didn't necessarily want to risk his health after achieving it.
Hall had been preparing for a long time for a fight against a former Icelandic strongman, which caused him to switch from his traditional style of training to boxing training. Obviously, such boxing training requires improving aerobic fitness which can be a real nut to crack for a strongman. Despite his bulky physique, Eddie handled this challenge very well and even managed to lose some pounds during the time he was training boxing style.
Although the fight itself didn't go well for Hall, as he lost on points, he still walked away from the fight with his head held high. After this ordeal, Eddie was able to return to his beloved dumbbells, which Eddie himself says are therapy for him and he is always grateful when he can lift something.
But now Eddie has a new challenge, which is competing in bodybuilding.
"The Olympia was in Las Vegas last month and I saw Big Ramy and Chris Bumstead on stage and they looked absolutely phenomenal. I've never done bodybuilding so I'm going to give it a go to see where I can get to.
He released a video on his YouTube channel in which he explained everything to his fans and also outlined that he would like to stand on the racing podium in December 2024.
"I hope to get on the podium at the end of next year. So I would probably race in October November or December."
