Shawn Rhoden has finally spoken out about his rape accusation!
Author: Since July 14th, we have been covering the biggest and most important case that is rocking the bodybuilding world, namely the rape and sexual assault charges that reigning Mr. Olympia titleholder Shawn Rhoden has been facing since July 12th of this year.
As you may already know from us, a very significant stance has been taken against Rhoden by American Media, Inc., the 100% owner and operator of Olympia Weekend, which has banned Rhoden from competing in the Mr. Olympia contest effective immediately!
IFBB Professional League President Jim Manion also commented on the case, stating that until the case is investigated, the IFBB Professional League will not take any action for or against Shawn Rhoden.
Shawn even voluntarily took two lie detector tests which came out in his favor.
He then denied his guilt in court!
However, Shawn's official statement didn't see the light of day "until" Sunday, July 28, on his Instagram. We bring it to you below.

Earlier this month, I was charged with a serious crime and it is a charge I vehemently deny. Like all of you, I have been shocked and stunned by the allegations made against me. You who know me know that to commit such an atrocity is contrary to my upbringing or character.
With respect to my family, loved ones, friends, sponsors, supporters, fellow athletes and everyone in the sport, I am sorry that these false accusations have brought hardship to the sport I love, especially when I consider how much you and the sport mean to me. With all that I have given to bodybuilding, and what bodybuilding has given to me, I would never have done what these accusations claim and jeopardize my position as Mr. Olympia champion. Something I have trained and sacrificed for over two decades. To have your reputation tarnished and to be stripped of your right to compete because of such lies is devastating, outrageous and unfair.
I can tell you with the utmost certainty and honesty that I am innocent and did not commit these alleged crimes.
I have cooperated fully with law enforcement from the first moment the situation arose and have never been seduced into my position of innocence. I will continue to work with the legal system to prove these allegations to be false, which they are. Despite the fact that I, and those around me, have been shaken by this experience, I stand firm in my position of innocence and look forward to having the opportunity to dispel these false accusations and have my reputation, standing and opportunity to compete on the podium at Olympia fully restored.

Muscular Development magazine interviewed one of Shawn's lawyers, Rick Collins. No major information was revealed in this interview, but the legal office is looking for witnesses who can provide any information that might lead to clarification of the case.
