Shawn Rhoden and other fighters show off their form in preparation for this year's Olympia Weekend
Author: Although it seems that there is still a lot of time left until this year's Olympia Weekend, which takes place from 12 to 15 September, the 14 weeks will fly by!
The participants of this spectacular event are aware of this fact, and many of them are already in full swing to put their best foot forward in front of the judges.
Such is the foursome of Shawn Rhoden, Brandon Curry, Derek Lunsford and Shaun Clarida, which is the focus of today's article.
Shawn Rhoden
Last year, Shawn Rhoden made an indelible mark on the history of professional bodybuilding when he defeated seven-time champion Phil Heath to dominate the Mr. Olympiacompetition, which is rightfully considered the most prestigious competition in the bodybuilding world!
He is preparing for this year's contest as the defending champion, which is of course always a very difficult task. Many are convinced that he will not repeat this fantastic success this year, referring to the form he showed during an exhibition in Pittsburgh at the beginning of May.
At the moment, his form is not looking good either. You can see for yourself through a video that was taken during his exhibition performance at the 2019 NPC Bev Francis Atlantic States Championships last Saturday.
However, let's admit that it's still premature to evaluate the final form, so let's believe that Shawn will be fighting not only Phil Heath, but other fighters for the Mr. Olympia title.

Brandon Curry
Brandon has already scored an outstanding success at last year's edition, when he managed to fight his way to a great 5th place! This season, he then proves that his star is rising upwards, when he managed to triumph atthe Arnold Classic.
Brandon, unlike the aforementioned Rhoden, is currently in much better shape, as evidenced by the footage that accompanies this article.

Derek Lusford
Derek had a fantastic success last year when hetook a great 2nd place at the Olympia 212 Showdown! This year, due to this success, and the departure of James "Flex" Lewis to the Open category, he is considered the king of the under 212lb division.
Will he live up to these predictions? It's certainly too early to tell. However, we can take a look at his current form through the videos and photos below.

There was certainly success last year for Shaun Clarida, who took a great 7th place at the Olympia 212 Showdown! Can he repeat that success this year? Or perhaps even improve on it?
