Rudy Kadlub (73 years old) squatted an unofficial world record - 206kg!
The USPA Drug Tested National Championships will be held May 27-31 in Atlanta, Georgia, and power triathlete Rudy Kadlub, who is 73 years old, is planning to attend! Although many would think that Rudy is just going to nostalgically reminisce about his younger years when he lifted heavy weights, don't be fooled, Kadlub is still lifting some serious weights even at his advanced age!
Personal bests:
- Squat: 205 kilograms - ( 2021 IPL Drug Tested World Championship)
- Bench Press: 142,5 kilograms - (2021 IPL World Championship)
- Deadlift: 235 kilograms - ( 2020 USPA Drug Tested North American Championships )
- Total: 578 kilograms

And it is at the USPA Drug Tested National Championships that Rudy is going to break his squat record, which so far is 205kg! But this record is not only his personal best, it is also the world record in the U100kg IPL division. However, at a recent training session, this "old man" squatted 206kg, unofficially breaking his own record. He himself states that he will try to squat the 206kg weight in his second attempt at the competition. Rudy is less than two weeks away from his 38th competition and he certainly seems ready for it.
