Professional bodybuilder Bertil Fox has been released from prison after 25 years!

On May 22, 1998, former professional bodybuilder Bertil Fox was charged to death for the shooting deaths of his ex-fiancée Leyoca Browne (20 years old) and her mother Violet Browne (36 years old). The whole incident was supposed to have happened on September 30, 1997. However, Bertil was originally sentenced to death by hanging, but after an appeal, his case was retried and Fox was sentenced to life in prison. After nearly twenty-five years in prison, Fox was pardoned on Thursday, August 4, 2022, and his son posted a message on Facebook that his father was home.

Bertil Fox competed primarily during the 1960s through the late 1990s. His last appearance came in 1994 at the Iron Man Pro, where he placed 13th. At the Mr. Europe, Mr. World and Mr. Universe competitions, Fox was praised for his consistency and willingness to improve his physique. Bertil Fox's best finishes in the IFBB Pro League were the 1982 Night Of Champions and the 1983 Swiss Grand Prix - he placed second in both competitions. His highest placing at Mr. Olympia was fifth place in 1983. Fox later retired from competitive bodybuilding in 1994 and moved back to his hometown.
