Niagara Falls Pro 2019 - Guy Cisternino dominated the poorly cast event
Niagara Falls Pro, is a term that many of you probably don't know much about. However, to those who have been interested in professional bodybuilding for the past decade or so, it is a familiar term!
In fact, the competition, which used to be called the Niagara Falls Pro Invitational, has been around since 1988 to 1995! On its podium stood such fighters as Vince Taylor, Lee Priest or our PavolJablonicky.
While previously only heavyweights from the Open category stood here, this time their lighter colleagues competing in the division up to 212 pounds got their chance to fight for direct qualification for the Olympia 212 Showdown 2020, as well as for points in the qualification ranking for this event.
There were only 8 fighters on stage, with the most competition experience undoubtedly coming from veteran of this category Guy Cisternino, a multiple Olympia Weekend participant.
The first semi-final comparison
It was Cisternino, who stood on the podium for the fifth time this year, who scored his seventh professional victory here, competing in his best phase of the year.
He said after the competition that his biggest opponent this season was his own body, which didn't listen to him as much as he needed it to. So of course he was incredibly happy to win.
It should be noted, however, that he can also thank the not very good starting field for the victory.
Second place went to Hyunjin Kim. Although he outshined Cisternin in many poses with his volumes, he lost significantly to him in hardness, fullness and quality of muscles.
Third place went to Esteban Fuquene, who is experiencing his debut season among the elite.
Fourth was Raúl Sánchez, who brought very good form to the competition.
Fifth place went to Bola Ojex. He made his sixth start of the season here, which was impressive. His body didn't look fresh at all and his posing was lax.
