Martyn Ford, nicknamed Nightmare, is about to make his MMA debut! He's a frightening prospect just by looking the part!

There are fighters that few would willingly step into the octagon with. They may not only be the recently mentioned names like McGregor or Nurmagomedov, but also muscular monsters! Martyn Ford is one of them!

The British Martyn Ford, who is hardly a "little guy" to miss with his 204 cm height and 145 kg weight, has until now been flirting with the world of bodybuilding and the film scene. However, at the beginning of 2019, a new chapter in his CV will begin to be written, namely a fight in the octagon, i.e. MMA (Mixed Martial Arts)!

In fact, in the middle of this month Martyn signed a contract with the Polish federation KSW (Konfrontacja Sztuk Walki).
He commented on his instagram account saying:

"So it's official. I signed a contract with KSW and I can't wait! It's going to be an incredible night, amazing fighters, amazing organization! I'm extremely excited to get the opportunity to step into the cage."

Martyn has played cricket since he was a young boy, and has dreamed of one day playing it as a professional. But then injury struck, and his promising career came to an end.

He eventually found a passion in the gym, where he began to build muscle, and found himself at it. The proof is in his imposing physique, which many find intimidating.

As for his current training, he no longer focuses on building muscle, but on weight reduction, and also works on reflexes and flexibility.
Flexibility is just what his massive muscles have robbed him of over the years.

Martyn Ford and his current training:

As mentioned in the introduction, Martyn is also an actor. Thanks to his character, he has been noticed by many producers, and we could see him, for example, in the fourth episode of the movie Invincible, which was titled Invincible: Return of the King.

Apart from this film, he also appeared in Kingsman: The Golden Circle, Viking Destiny, The Marine 6: Close Quarters and Final Score.

What do you think of Martyn's performance in the Octagon? Does he have what it takes to make it in this sport, or will he be just another mascot, of which we already know several?
