Log Lift performed by the strongest of the strongest, or one of the main strongman disciplines.

One of the main disciplines of strongman competitions is undoubtedly Log Lift. It is the one that was trained in several places this week by some really big names. This discipline was practiced by strongman aces Brian Shaw, Eddie Hall, Nick Best, Hafthor Bjornsson and Larry Wheels.

Brian Shaw, Eddie Hall and Hafthor Bjornsson can boast the most prestigious title, as they managed to dominate the World's Strongest Man competition - Brian in 2011, 2013, 2015 and 2016, Eddie in 2017 and Hafthor last year.

As you will see below, it won't take Larry long to conquer a prestigious title either!

The trio of Brian Shaw, Eddie Hall and Nick Best have all come in at 190.5kg during their training. That's already impressive without a doubt, but it's nothing in quotes compared to what the pair of Hafthor Bjornsson and Larry Wheels did. In fact, the latter got up to 202 kg during their training!

Although Hafthor was 11 kilograms below his maximum, he still managed to push it to the second time. Larry was the one who handled this weight much better and without much trouble, thus setting a new personal best!

If we take into account the fact that Larry has only been involved in strongman disciplines for a few months and add to that the fact that his weight is "only" 120 kilograms, compared to 150 to 200 kilograms of the above mentioned fighters, he certainly has a very interesting future ahead of him!

Below you can see the videos that were made during the training sessions.

By the way, Hafthor and Brian will soon duke it out at the Arnold Strongman Classic, where Brian won in 2011, 2015 and 2017, "Thor" will be there as the defending champion of last year's triumph.
