Larry Wheels and his unconventional deadlift training pyramided from 102 to 388 kg!

The name Larry Wheels is becoming more and more well-known. A year ago, few knew about this 23-year-old, but today there are few who have not noticed him!

No wonder! He first wowed all strength sports fans when, at 125 kilograms, he was able to rack up a total of 1039 kilograms in performance:

  • squat - 372 kg
  • bench press - 267 kg
  • deadlift - 400 kg

He subsequently showed that he is not doing badly on the competition stage either, as he managed to absolutely dominate the 2018 NPC Gold Coast Classic amateur competition, qualifying him for the NPC Nationals. There, on 16-17 November, he finished 11th in a field of 16 competitors.

The video capturing his personal bests recorded during this year's training season did not go unnoticed. And there was a lot to watch!

Larry knows that every now and then you need to get active and spice up your training with something unusual. That's why he recently got together with military veteran KC Mitchel, who is better known by his nickname That1LegMonster, for a deadlift workout. They spiced it up with pyramid weight lifting.

Larry went from 102 kg to 388 kg!
