Kris Dim: "I don't know the word NO GO!"

Although the last time Kris Dim appeared on a competition stage was in 2009, few have forgotten his performance back then! To this day, he is still talked about as one of the greatest comebacks in bodybuilding history!

In June 2007, Kris was brought to the hospital in critical condition after suffering a heart attack. Doctors at the time gave him only a slim chance of survival, estimating it at a maximum of 10%.

Kris spent five hours in the operating room, during which time a stent was inserted to maintain the necessary diameter of Kris' blood vessel. After the surgery, doctors warned Kris that he should never again undertake increased physical activity, and certainly not with weights. He should forget about racing, they said.

He did not give up, however, and that same year began to train carefully. After less than a year of training he regained not only his strength but also his former bulk. At the beginning of 2009 he was ready to return to the competition stage, but a minor car accident prevented him from doing so, so he did not appear on the stage "until" mid-August.

At the Europa Supershow he took a great third place in the under 202lb division, securing his place in the Olympia 202 Showdown. There he finished a very good 12th.

That same year, he put on his competition trunks once more when he competed among the heavyweights at the Sacramento Pro, where he took an excellent fourth place.

Kris hasn't competed since then, and has been training just for fun.

In 2012, he had to undergo another surgery to have his stent replaced. During this operation, however, a complication occurred. Kris got a spasm in the Adamkiewicz artery, which supplies the spinal cord. As a result, the spinal cord became undersized, and Kris became paralyzed in his lower extremities.

There is little hope that Kris will ever walk again. However, the Cambodian-born fighter didn't give up this time either, and once again began working with his body in the gym.

Although he's still confined to a wheelchair, he opened his own gym, Kris Dim's Fitness Rock, in Sacramento. He reportedly sold it earlier this year, but continues to train his clients as well as his own. In particular, he trains the upper half of his body from every possible angle, so it's no wonder he looks very good again!
He says he is even thinking of returning to the competition stage again, in professional wheelchair bodybuilding.

Every now and then Kris will have his picture taken to show the world his form. However, he always tries to make sure that his torso is as little visible in the photos as possible. It's all scar tissue, and it's really not the prettiest.

But if you run away from the gravedigger's shovel, and several times at that, it's not the appearance that should worry you. Kris is of that opinion now, and so he showed his current form with the torso.

This gives you a chance to see not only his musculature, but also the many scars and sores that "decorate" his torso after his many surgeries.

Kris added to the photos:

It doesn't matter what you've been through! All that matters is that you keep moving forward!
I went in for aortic surgery and came in with a spinal cord injury. But I'm not sitting with my head hanging in the corner! I'm still moving forward and working on myself!
Fuck you, man!
