Konstantin Konstantinovs has left the world of powerlifting!

The world of iron and power is circulating these days with the news of the death of one of the legends of powerlifting, Konstantin Konstantinov.
The native of Liepãja, Latvia, who was of Russian nationality, died on Sunday, October 28, at the age of just 40.

Konstantin made his living as a bodyguard and bouncer. According to the information available, it was during his shift on Sunday that a fight was supposed to have taken place, during which he was attacked with a stabbing weapon. He died of several stab wounds while being taken to hospital.

Rather a bodybuilder, 191 cm tall and weighing around 130 kg, the fighter was particularly famous for his performances in the field of RAW power triathlon, i.e. without the use of special jerseys. He also competed without the use of belts and bandages.

His strongest discipline was the deadlift. In 2009, with a body weight of "only" 128 kg, he was able to push off the ground and lift 426 kg, which was a world record at the time!
Moreover, it is the highest deadlift performed without a belt to date!

Bench press was also a strong discipline for him, where he managed to push an outstanding 265 kilograms! He was especially known for his unique execution of this exercise, which was more of a triceps exercise, and he used almost no bridge!

His weakest discipline was the squat, where his personal best using a belt and bandages was "only" 335 kg.

Honor his memory!
