Jose Raymond said goodbye to professional bodybuilding with a third place in Japan.

On Sunday, November 18th, Tokyo, Japan became the venue of the first ever professional bodybuilding competition in Japan.

The competition, promoted by the highly successful Japanese pro Hidetada Yamagishi and held under the banner of Jim Minion's IFBB Professional League, was called Japan Pro and was for fighters competing in the 212lb division.

Hadi Choopan was the clear favorite, according to a preview of the start list. Unfortunately, he was unable to attend the competition due to political reasons. He had not obtained the necessary visa.

A total of 11 fighters gathered on the stage of this event, one of them was also the American Jose Raymond, who wrote the last dot for his very rich and successful career.

Jose, who has never been blessed with God knows how attractive physique always managed to overcome his shortcomings with absolutely perfect preparation, which earned him not only some very valuable victories, but also a large number of very interesting scalps in the form of the best fighters in the division up to 212 pounds.

It was certainly not only Jose who wanted to end his sporting career with a victory. Although the judges gave him absolutely the most time in front of the spotlight and the crowd, comparing him first in the first semi-final comparison along with the foursome of Dwayne Quamina, Mahmut Irmak, Shaun Clarida and David Henry, and then giving him space on his own with Henry, and Clarida, it was that pairing that they ultimately preferred over him.

However, Jose certainly enjoyed the last professional show of his career appropriately.

The victory was ultimately enjoyed by David Henry, for whom it was his tenth triumph among the elite.

Second place went to Shaun Clarida, just under 160 cm tall.

Fourth place went to Mahmut Irmak, and Dwayne Quamina rounded out the top five.
