John Haack (90 Kg) squatted 355kg!

In just nine days, we'll see powerlifting triathlete John Haack on the competition stage as he has decided to compete at the World Raw Powerlifting Federation (WRPF) American Pro 2022 at The Salisbury Center in Manassas.

Currently, the squat is the only event in which Haack does not hold the world record in the under-90 kilogram class. In 2021 at the WRPF The Bucked Up Showdown, he set the world record in the bench press with a performance of 263 kilograms (579.8 pounds). He also set the current world record in the deadlift at this competition, pulling 402.5 kilograms (887.4 pounds). At the same time, he holds the world record with a performance of 1005 kilograms (2,215.6 pounds)!

Haack is therefore putting all his efforts into improving his squat performance so that he can set a record in this discipline as well. And he obviously knows how to do it, because he managed to improve his squat by 15kg! At a recent training session he squatted 355kg, which is 15kg more than he could squat at the official competition.
