Jirka Tkadlcik conquered South America!
On Friday, April 20, the Arnold Classic South America sports festival took place in South America, which included a strongman competition. Our most famous strongman Jiří Tkadlčík took part in the event, competing in the 105 kg category!

The first discipline that the fighters had to tackle was a triple combination of yoke carry, trunk carry and deadlift with a barbell weighing 240 kg, all within a time limit of 90 seconds.
Jirka handled this discipline absolutely the best of all competitors when he ran with the weights as a race, and managed 14 repetitions of the deadlift.
He himself adds to this discipline:
I ran it like a dragon and in the remaining time of 90seconds I did 14 reps!
First discipline (video):
The second discipline was the expression of 70 kilogram one-handed dumbbell in a time limit of one minute.
Here he managed a total of eight reps, and the ninth was already over the time limit. Even so, he managed one repetition more than his main rival and therefore left this discipline as the winner.
Jirka says about this discipline:
One-handed - second discipline, weight 70kg, in one minute I chopped 8 and 9. after the time limit and I CONFIRMED FIRST PLACE!
Second discipline (video):
The last event was throwing a 120kg Atlas stone over a 1.3m high bar. Here Jirka was one throw behind the winner and took second place.
To this performance Jirka adds:
Atlas 120kg to 1.3m per minute. I take 2nd place! It was close, but I couldn't risk more and I was short of time to finish the winner.
So what do you think, is it enough points for the overall gold?? I've got it vividly in my head how stupidly the points were counted in the US... And the top 4 were tied the whole race...
Third event (video):
Jirka really became the winner of the 105 kg category!
He commented his triumph by saying:
"There is only one way to succeed in something and that is to give it your all.."
I just WON the ARNOLD CLASSIC SOUTH AMERICA u105kg, the THIRD ARNOLD CLASSIC and I take home the golden hat trick!!!
The disciplines weren't the toughest, the competitors weren't the strongest in the world, but it was a tough competition and I appreciate this gold so much! 6 weeks ago at this time I was picking myself up from the ground after an accident and I didn't believe for a second that I would lift anything this year...
It doesn't matter where your starting blocks are, it's where your mind can see!
Announcement of results (video):

Although Jirka could go home or enjoy sunny Brazil, he will do neither. He's a failure, and he's decided to compete one more time! Today he will compete in the OPEN category, i.e. over 105 kg without any weight difference.
