Jiri Tkadlcik won silver in Kazakhstan!
During the weekend 20.- 21.7.2019 were held strongman competitions U105 in Kazakhstan. Jiri Tkadlcik , our strongest strongman in the U105 category, took part in these competitions . He recently set a new world record in Ukraine when he managed to lift 406kg on a deadlift!
Czech lion Jiri Tkadlcik set a new world record in Ukraine!
Jiri managed to win silver for the Czech colours at these competitions in Kazakhstan! For many people it was a big surprise and maybe even disappointment that Jiri won "only" silver. This is how he commented on his social media about the second place:
Silver is more than good for me. For me, every race that I survive healthy is good, but when I'm on the box? That's EXCELLENT for me! I know that as humans we probably mostly measure success either on money, fame, or in the case of athletes, gold medals - those silvers, bronzes, nobody really cares. But I see it like this:
⠀
It's always easy to win once, surprise, and then shit on it so no one beats me, just like it's easy to put up numbers at home, on Instagram, and stuff like that. I've been racing in the world since 2014 and in those 5 years there have been yo shitty falls, but also yo shitty medals! Gold, silver, bronze, even a potato chip. I've never been afraid to go somewhere, even at the cost of losing, I just always go for it! That's the BEST thing for me, because losing is only when I screw up and stay cooped up at home full of excuses, nothing else!

I'm proud of all the metals and non-metals and last place finishes. Because it takes a ton of sweat, hard work, blood, and will, discipline, and because every mistake, every silver, bronze, potato, 10th place, teaches me something. Honey, that teaches you almost nothing. But everything down the line, it does.
Silver is just a great thing! I'm proud of myself for the journey, for the fact that it's not been a year or two, but 5 great years!!! 5 years onwards and upwards, and I'm not done yet.
